Health Condition 1: null- American society of Anaesthesiologist (ASA) physical health status class 1 and 2 pediatric population of age 2-12 years,of either sex,scheduled to undergo elective surgery under general anaesthesia

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA physical health status 1 and 2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients requiring tracheal intubation. 2) Patients with restricted mouth opening. 3) Patients at risk of aspiration (full stomach or Gastro-oesopheal reflux disease). 4) Patients outside range of 5th- 95th centile for weight and height. 5) Patients with upper airway abnormality. 6) Patients with anatomical abnormality of head and neck.

Percentage of patients with successful insertion of PLMA where size will be determined by auricle size based method.Timepoint: 12 MONTHS

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1) Agreement between size of PLMA determined by auricle size based method and that by conventional weight based method. 2) Association of Body Mass Index with size of PLMA determined by auricle size and weight based methods. Timepoint: 12 MONTHS
