Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Patients undergoing elective abdominal hysterectomy 2 ASA 1 /2 3 Those are willing participate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patient refusal 2 Patients with ASA III and IV 3 Patients with BMI 40 kg/m2 4 Local infection at the site of block 5 Allergy to study medications 6 Chronic use of pain medications or adrenoreceptor agonists or antagonists

To compare analgesic effect of dexmedetomidine added to ropivacaine in TAP block vs dexmedetomidine given intravenously at the time of TAP block. Timepoint: Assesed pain score immediately after block 15min, 30min,45min,60min,120min,4hrs 8 hr,12 hr 24hr
