Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of either sex of ASA grade I or II of age >18 years for laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 who refuse to sign the consent 2 having allergic history to any drug 3 who are unable to understand VAS 4 drug addicts and psychiatric patients 5 duration of surgery more than 90 minutes 6 empyema gall bladder / complicated cholecystitis(If drain is kept in gall bladder fossa)

a) Post-operative pain(within 24 hours) b) Total rescue analgesic consumption in the 24 hours post-operative period will also be recorded. Timepoint: a) Post-operative pain at 0, 2,4,6,8,10,12,16,20 and 24 hours b) Total rescue analgesic consumption in the 24 hours post-operative period will also be recorded.
