Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Stroke patients with hemiparesis. First onset of stroke. MMSE score greater than or equal to 24. Patients who are able to walk without walking aids.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of any other co morbidity other than stroke. Local infections, open wounds on the leg and foot region affecting the electrode placement. Subjects who are using any splints or supports on the foot for walking.

Muscle activity in terms of Root Mean Square (Amplitude in millivolts)in 4 selected muscles: Rectus Femoris, Biceps Femoris, Tibialis Anterior, Gastrocnemius Medialis using a wireless EMG device.Timepoint: Continuously while walking

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Level of perceived difficulty while walking on a VAS scale out of 10.Timepoint: Immediately after walking.
