Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients of the age group 18-80 years of American society of anesthesiologists grade I, II and III.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant patients, patients with lumbar scoliosis, previous spinal surgery and non consenting patients

spinal level identified by palpation of iliac crest corresponds to the level identified by radiology in 30% of cases.Timepoint: one day

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
correct spinal space correct spinal levels are identified in male, young and non obese patients. S2 level corrosponds to Ppsterior superior iliac spine Timepoint: 2 months
