Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patient requiring 1st premolar extraction as part of orthodontic treatment. 2.Patient aged between 14-30yrs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Subjects with a history of long-term medication with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and hormone supplements. 2.Subjects with unilateral chewing or parafunctional habit, skeletal crossbite and occlusal interferences. 3.Periodontally compromised patients.
