Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a) Elective cases of head and neck surgeries b) ASA 1 and 2 c) Either sex d) Age 18 to 60 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) Unwilling to participate in the study b) Patients with coagulopathy and antiplatelet agents c) Mouth opening less than 13mm d) Allergic to lignocaine

MeasureTime frame
To compare the oxygenation and ventilation parameters between the two groups (face mask and nasotracheal tube by noting saturation, end tidal carbon dioxide, exhaled tidal volume, minute ventilation,peak airway pressure and chest rise.Timepoint: every minute for 3 minutes before intubation and then 1 minute after intubation for the next 2minutes—
