Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • American society of anaesthesiologists (ASA) grade 1, 2 • Undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia • Duration of surgery greater than 60minutes and lesser than or equal to 3 hours

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Presenting body temperature(oral) equal to or greater than 38â?°C or below 36â?°C on arrival at preoperative hold • Emergency and trauma patients • Laparoscopic/robotic surgeries • Recent history fever or infection • Previous history of malignant hyperthermia • Hypo/hyperthyroid status • History of nasal surgery, nasal trauma and recurrent epistaxis
