Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primary molar tooth with occlusally similar cavitated dentinal lesions on the same, opposite or contra-lateral side of the oral cavity. Children whose parents give consent for the operative procedures. No proximal caries as evidenced by bitewing radiographs. Asymptomatic vital teeth, without clinical or radiographic evidence of pulpal involvement, furcation or periapical pathoses.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with disability. Children on long term medications and on antibiotic treatment during the last 3 months. Children having incipient carious lesion on enamel or extensive deep carious lesion in close proximity to pulp.
