Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Subjects whose parents gave informed consent. 2. Subjects who have not used mouthwashes for the last 3 months. 3. Subjects having moderate gingival scores (1.1-2.0) and fair plaque scores (1-1.9) according to plaque and gingival indices proposed by Silness and Loe(1964) and Loe and Silness (1963) respectively. 4. Subjects having DMFT score greater than 3.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Subjects suffering from systemic diseases. 2. History of antibiotic therapy in the previous one month till the start of the study. 3. Subjects who have debilitating disease, physically and mentally challenged or with gross orofacial defect. 4. Subjects undergoing orthodontic therapy. 5. Subjects having history of allergy to any kind of mouthwash.
