Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with an indication for the removal of a mandibular third molar under local anaesthesia 2. Aged between 18 and 40 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with decompensated systemic diseases contraindicating or impeding dental treatment 2. Patients with history of transalveolar extraction 3. Patients with history of hypertension or were receiving medication capable of interacting with the drugs contained in the anesthetic solutions used. 4. Patients with histories of anxiety episodes or on anxiolytic treatment
