Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. patients diagnosed with mild to moderate periodontitis according to AAP guidelines 1999 2. minimum of 20 teeth in mouth 3. patients who have not received periodontal treatment for past 6 months to 1 year

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. patients with uncontrolled systemic diseases 2. patients with aggressive periodontitis
