Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1)To evaluate Spleen stiffness v/s Varices Risk Score (liver stiffness, spleen size and platelet count) in predicting the presence of esophageal varices 2) To evaluate Spleen Stiffness v/s Varices Severity Score (liver stiffness, spleen stiffness and ascites) for grading the severity of esophageal varices with endoscopic grading as gold standard 3) Determination of SS cutoff values for detecting presence and high-risk varices in patients with cirrhosisTimepoint: primary outcome will be evaluated by 2018 september 30 | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| With ARFI actual, no sedation during the procedure, potential cost savings for the patient no discomfort pre and post procedure as with endoscopy as well could be if this could be developed as a standard diagnostic tool for evaluation.Timepoint: September 2018 | — |
