Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients (>= 18 years) having diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes mellitus presenting to Medicine OPD and giving informed consent to participate in the study would be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women and patients declining to give informed consent would be excluded from the study.

Current glycemic status in terms of HbA1c concentration in patients of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) receiving treatment at tertiary care government hospital.Timepoint: One year

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Burden of diabetes complications namely neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy, cardiovascular diseases and diabetic foot in these patients. Timepoint: One year;Risk factors namely age, gender, hypoglycemic treatment, duration of diabetes and self reported medication adherence associated with unsatisfactory glycemic control in these patients.Timepoint: One year;Ten year UK Prospective Diabetes Study (UKPDS) coronary heart disease risk in patients with no known heart diseaseTimepoint: One year
