Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients of age greater than 18 years and less than 70 years with diagnosis of large or massive hernia. Midline ventral hernias (primary and secondary) with defects of 5-12cms. Patients with ASA-I & II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant and lactating patients. Patients having a stoma. Patients having active infections, sinus or fistula at hernia site related to previous surgery. Morbidly obese patients with BMI greater than 37.5 kg/m2. Obstructive or totally irreducible hernia or emergency operations.
