Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients undergoing elective cardiac, thoracic, vascular surgery with definite indication for central venous catheterisation 2. Age between 18-70 years
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Emergency surgeries 2. Redo-surgeries 3. Previous IJV cannulation 4. Patients not willing to participate in study 5. Patients with cervical spine abnormalities restricting neck mobility, torticollis, very short neck 6. Patient with severe LV dysfunction (LVEF 10. Patients with pre-existing coagulopathy (INR >1.5, platelet count < 50000/mm3)
