Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Cases suffering from GAD, diagnosed as per DSM-V criteria 2. Moderate to severe cases of anxiety (GAD-7 scores 10-15 and HAM-A scores 18-30) 3. Both male and female patients 4. Age between 18 and 65 years 5. Patients giving written consent to participate in the study 7. Literate patients who can read Bengali and/or English
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Mild (GAD-7 15 and HAM-A > 30) cases of anxiety 2. Use of psychoactive medications prior to study entry that precluded participation included depot neuroleptics within 6 months; any neuroleptic, antidepressant, or anxiolytic within 2 weeks (5 weeks for fluoxetine); daily benzodiazepine therapy within 1 month; and concomitant treatment with any psychotropic drug (except zolpidem for sleep) or any drug with a psychotropic component. 3. Patients with other psychiatric diseases. 4. Cases suffering from uncontrolled systemic illness or life-threatening infections 5. Cases already undergoing homoeopathic treatment for any chronic disease 6. Substance abuse and/or dependence 7. Pregnant women, lactating mothers, and women who are planning pregnancy
