Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Suspected patients having minimum of 3 criteria among the following (a-i) a. Tiredness/Somnolence b. Unexplained weight gain c. DepressionMaterials and Methodology Department of R & B 113 d. Cold intolerance e. Hoarse voice f. Goitre g. A puffy face h. Constipation i. Dry skin j. Muscle ache, Tenderness, Stiffness k. Menstrual irregularity i. Hair loss 2. Serum TSH >4mU/L 3. Patients were selected irrespective of gender, cast, religion and economic status 4. Patients in between age group of 18-65 years 5. Patients with given written consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Those who are under medication with drugs known to cause hypothyroidism 2. Critically ill patients due to any cause 3. Pregnant ladies 4.Lactating mothers of less than 6 months who are breast feeding. 5. Those who are under medication of hypothyroidism with any system of medicine
