Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Scheduled for an elective procedure under general anaesthesia Belonging to ASA physical status I or II. Both in-patients and ambulatory patients were included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The children with following conditions: 1.Decreased state of consciousness 2.Delay in milestones 3.Psychiatric illness 4.Neurodevelopment anomalies 5.Visual impairment 6.Known hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines 7.Those whose parents were unable to answer STAI questionnaire in English or Hindi.
