Control Intervention1: Tab alprazolam and preoperative counselling: Group A will receive preoperative counselling plus placebo tablet one night before surgery Group B will receive tab alprazolam .5 m

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA 1 and 2 18-60 years undergoing surgery under General or regional anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Hypertensive patients Patient having some language and communication difficulties Pregnant patients Emergency surgery Patient on psychiatric treatment or any kind of anxiety disorder
