Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All newly detected cases of biopsy proven squamous cell carcinoma of oropharynx, larynx and hypopharynx fit for concurrent chemo radiation or radical radiotherapy, with a KPS > 70 (Karnofsky Performance scale) at the time of presentation consenting for the study will be enrolled.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients on feeding jejunostomy, tracheostomy and prolonged Ryles tube feeding. Previous history of malignancies. Patients requiring surgery as a part of treatment protocol. Evidence of distant metastasis. Recurrent or residual disease
