Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Unilateral or bilateral ankylosis- fresh or reankylosis. 2. Osseous or fibro-osseous ankylosis 3. Patients willing to participate in the study. 4. Obstructive sleep apnoea patients with TMJ ankylosis should have undergone correction of OSAS prior to release of ankylosis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Medically compromised patient and those not fit to be taken under general anesthesia. 2. Patients allergic to general anesthesia. 3. Patients reporting with trismus other than temporomandibular joint ankylosis. 4. Patients with fibrous ankylosis. 5. Patients identified with obstructive sleep apnoea. 6. Patients below 5 years of age. 7. Patients who are beyond reasoning or considered as non complaint.
