Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I â?? II 2) Elective Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Known allergy to local anesthetic agents. 2) Infection at the site of block. 3) Patients with chronic pain syndrome. 4) Patients who received any NSAIDs or opiates 48 hours prior to surgery. 5) Preoperative chronic dependence on opioid medication. 6) Coagulopathy. 7) Body Mass Index (BMI) 35 kg/ m2 8) Alcohol or drug abuse. 9) Pregnancy

1. To find out the mean Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) score at 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hour, 6 hour, 12 hour and 24 hour in both groups 2. To find out the mean duration in minutes required for first analgesic request in both groups 3.To find out the average amount of rescue analgesics (Tramadol and diclofenac) required in both groups in the first 24 hours after the surgery 4)To observe occurrence of any adverse effects or complications in either groupTimepoint: 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hour, 6 hour, 12 hour and 24 hour
