Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. SCI patients 2. ASIA Impairment Scale A,B,C 3. Age over 18years 4. Less than 3months from date of trauma

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Hypocalcaemia (Serum Calcium 2. Vitamin-D deficiency (Serum 25-hydroxy vitamin-D 3. Significant renal impairment (Creatinine clearance 4. Any history of allergic reaction to bisphosphonates 5. History of iritis, uveitis, psychiatric illness 6. Female subjects who are pregnant, lactating or premenopausal women planning to conceive
