Conditions

Health Condition 1: null- 18 to 60 years age ASA 1@2 patients scheduled for elective lower abdominal ,urological,gynecological and orthopaedic surgeries under spinal anesthesia.

Interventions

Intervention1: Dexmedetomidine: spinal anesthesia will be performed with 0.5% bupivacaine 3cc.group D will receive sedative doses of dexmedetomidine of 0.5 microgarm/kg IV loading dose for 15 minutes

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 ASA class 1 & 2 2. Age between 18 to 60 years of either sex 3. Patients scheduled for elective lower abdominal, urological, gynecological and orthopaedic surgeries under spinal anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Any contra-indication to subarachnoid block like hypotension, coagulation defects, spine abnormalities etc. 2. BMI >30 3. Height 4 Height 5.Patients with known allergies to propofol, dexmedetomidine. 6. Pregnancy. 7.Patients with cognitive deficits, pre-existing depression on the basis of Hospital anxiety and depression scale.

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the psychomotor recovery after sedation with Dexmedetomidine duing spinal anesthesia using spectral entropy as an objective measure of sedation state. Timepoint: 1 year 6 months
