Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Singleton pregnancies, 11-40 weeks. 2. Known last menstrual period. 3. History of regular menstruation. 4. Discernable placental outline at ultrasonography.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Maternal Disease a. Gestational Diabetes. b. Hypertension (Systemic hypertension and Pregnancy induced hypertension). c. Anaemia. 2. Foetal anomalies including intrauterine growth retardation. 3. Placenta previa, placental anomalies and poor visualization of the placenta.

MeasureTime frame
The dissertation will study the relationship between mean placental thickness in mm, measured at the level of insertion of umbilical cord with gestational age in weeks.Timepoint: at a single point of time during pregnancy
