Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects (males and females) in the age range of 30-60 years, having a fasting blood glucose level of 110mg/dl-126 mg/dl will be included in the study. Presence of localized sites of mild to moderate periodontitis with clinical attachment loss of >= 2 mm in either the maxillary or mandibular arch with clinical probing pocket depth of >=5 mm in either the maxillary or mandibular arch and a minimum of twenty retained teeth are other criteria for inclusion

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with other systemic diseases, taking medications / supplements, previous periodontal therapy within six months of the study plan, pregnant or lactating women, consumption of tobacco or allergy to any medications will not be included in the study.
