Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Untreated Chronic periodontitis patients without any systemic diseases 2.Bleeding on probing 3.Pocket depth of >=5mm 4.Clinical attachment level of >=3mm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Smokers 2.Patients who underwent periodontal treatment within past 6 months 3.Patients under antibiotics/anti-inflammatory or immunosuppressive agents 4.Patients with systemic disorders 5.Pregnancy and lactating women 6.Inability or unwillingness to complete the trial
