Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age > 18 years of age American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I-III

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients requiring inotropes Patients allergic to dexmedetomidine or propofol Patients with bradycardia(baseline heart rate Patients who could not be extubated within 24 hours
