Intervention1: Motivational interviewing group: This group of tobacco users will get 3 sessions of motivational interviewing 60 days apart. The effectiveness of motivational interviewing is evaluated

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Tobacco chewers and smokers attending out patient department of Government Dental College, Kottayam, who are willing to give consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with fagerstrom score more than 7 2.Patients attending other tobacco cessation programs 3.Patients with existence of any psychiatric disorders, drug addiction
