Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: individuals who underwent head & neck radiotherapy with dosage of 2 Grays/day in a tertiary care center, who were clinically healthy and had not used antibiotics for the previous 3 months will be selected.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with emergency conditions were not included and will be treated immediately. If any new fact that could influence the results (e.g.: antibiotics use) emerged during the course of the study, the samples of that patient will also excluded

Difference in Candida CFU counts i.e. before vs after probiotic therapy will be considered as an outcome measure.Timepoint: Initial salivary Candida CFU counts before intervention and another salivary Candida CFU counts within three days after 30 days intervention period.
