Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.All the patient of both sex and age above 18 years. 2.Patients given written inform consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients aged below 18 years. 2.Patients already taking antimicrobial agents for more than 7 days. 3.Ventilator associated pneumonia. 4.Patient with Immunocompromised state, Lung cancers and Tuberculosis.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome measures, will be use of most frequently prescribed antibacterial agents as empirical and definitive therapy. The Antibiotics Consumption Index were calculated and compared between the therapies.Timepoint: 14 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Measured the Antibiotics Consumption Index(ACI)of empirical and definitive therapy for community acquired pneumonia.Timepoint: 7 days
