Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Acromegalic and non-acromeglic patients with pituitary tumor scheduled for trans-sphenoidal surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Previous history of major airway surgery or airway pathology 2.Patients with cervical spine injury or pathology 3.Pregnant females 4.Patientâ??s denial to participate in the study

MeasureTime frame
To compare ultrasonographic measurement of tongue thickness at submandibular level with respect to easy and difficult laryngoscopy in acromegalic and non-acromegalic patients undergoing transsphenoidal surgery for pituitary adenoma.Timepoint: 1. Airway ulltrasound-Preoperatively, 2. Cormack and Lehane grade- During laryngoscopy

To compare following parameters of upper airway with respect to easy and difficult laryngoscopy in acromegalic and non-acromegalic patients undergoing transsphenoidal surgery for pituitary adenoma 1. To compare ultrasonographic measurements of airway at submandibular level. 2. To compare ultrasonographic measurements of anterior soft tissue neck thickness at hyoid, pretracheal and vocal cord. 3. To compare clinical parameters of airway examination.Timepoint: 1. Airway ulltrasound-Preoperatively, 2. Cormack and Lehane grade- During laryngoscopy
