Inclusion criteria: Obese Patient. HbA1C â?? 5.7% -6.4%. FASTING BLOOD GLUCOSE â?? 100-125mg/dl. BMI > 25. Waist to hip ratio17 In case of Male > 0.95 In case of Female > 0.80 Mukhmadhurayam (Sweetness in mouth) Swedoangagandha (foul smell in body) Sayya Aasana Sawapansukhe Ratischa (liking for comfort in lying, sitting, and sleeping) Sitapriyatavam (liking for cold) Galtalu Shosha (Dryness of throat and palate) Karpaad Daha (Burning sensation of hands and feet) Dantadi Maladhyadatva (excess accumulation of Mala in the oral cavity like teeth, tongue and gums) Mutreavidhavanti Pipilikascha (attracting ants towards the urine) Sithilangata (slackness in body) Pipasa (Excessive thirst) Aalasayam (Laziness) Nidra Tandra Cha Sarvakalam (Frequent sleep and drowsiness) Snighdha Pischila Guruta Gataranam (oiliness, sliminess and heaviness in the limbs) Chikannata Deha (unctuouseness in the body) Avayayama (not doing exercise) Atikshuta(excessive hunger) Guru Madhura Sheeta Snigdhoupyega (having heavy, sweet, cold and oily food) Divasavpana (Day sleep)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: IDDM patients Gestational diabetes. Patients on steroids or oral hypoglycemic drugs. Malignant and accelerated hypertension. CCF. Pregnant women. Lactating mother Hypothyroidism associated with any serious disease condition. Patients who are unfit for Basti Karma, Udwartana.
