Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: for cases: Parents of children diagnosed with ARM (all types). Control: Parents of all children diagnosed with a disease condition other than ARM and associated with ARM. eg. Hernia, undescended testes, intussusception, pyloric stenosis, appendicitis, intestinal obstruction and other illnesses.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ARM, vertebral (V), anal (A), cardiac (C), tracheoesophageal fistula with or without oesophageal atresia (TE), renal (R) and limb defects (L).
