Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Healthy children, adolescent and adult patients between the age group of 6-40 years. 2. Subjects with repaired cleft palate having Velopharyngeal Incompetence and Hypernasal Speech, irrespective of the sex are included in the study. 3. Subjects consenting to follow up speech therapy after surgery.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant individuals 2. Mentally challenged patients. 3. Patients with syndromes. 4. Patients who have earlier undergone surgery for Velopharyngeal Incompetence improvement. 5. Patient who have been operated on more than one instance for cleft palate closure. 6. Patient allergic to Beta-lactam/Cephalosporin group of antibiotics. 7. Patients with excessive palatal scarring. 8. Patients with palatal fistula 9. Patients with Hearing disabilities. 10. Patients lost to follow up.
