Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patient undergoing elective infraumblical extraperitoneal surgery under general anaesthesia. 2.Age between 1yr-6yr. 3.ASA Grade I-II 4.Those whose parents are willing to give written consent .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Surgery constraining postoperative fluid intake. 2.Known digestive pathology predisposing to PONV(eg.hiatal hernia and gastro-oesophageal reflux) 3.Parents refusal. 4.Enrolment in another study.
