Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Subjects clinically diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis. 2. Knee osteoarthritis subjects with myofascial trigger points in hamstring, quadriceps, iliotibial and/or gastronemius muscles

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Recent fractures of femur (less than 1 year) 2. Febrile states 3. Systemic or localized infections 4. Surgical incisions and open wounds 5. Skin hypersensitivity 6. Advanced diabetes or sensory deficit over thigh 7. Intraarticular corticosteroids injection in the last 6 months, pain medications in preceding 6 hours 8. Bleeding disorders 9. Other musculoskeletal disorders, that is, low back ache, osteoarthritis hip, osteoarthritis ankle, plantar fasciitis. 10. Knee osteoarthritis patients with no current complaints of pain.
