Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eligible participants will comprise consenting male and female teachers of the selected schools, aged 30 years and above. Participants will have a fluent understanding of spoken Malayalam and be willing to participate in the intervention program.

The primary outcome will be the proportion of hypertensives who achieved adequate control Timepoint: After three months of intervention

proportion of hypertensives who are aware of the condition and proportion of hypertensives who are on treatment Change in risk factors of hypertension such as tobacco, alcohol, physical inactivity and unhealthy diet, and anthropometry (BMI and waist circumference)Timepoint: three months
