Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Primary diagnosis of Generalized Anxiety Disorders (DSM IV) 2.Severity mild to moderate: GADSS, with average total score of 0 (mild) to 24(Severe) GAD. 3.Drug naïve / drug free of minimum 3 months/ stable dosage of 3 months. 4.Associated with secondary anxiety disorders such as Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Any chronic neurological/ debilitating / medical illnesses. 2.Other primary anxiety disorders. 3.Organic mental disorders. 4.Mental Retardation. 5.Substance Abuse (Alcohol/nicotine/cannabis etc.) or dependence in the past 6 months. 6.Significant suicidal ideation or behaviour or received ECT in the past 6 months. 7.Current or lifetime severe mental disorder such as schizophrenia or any other psychotic disorder, BPAD and on any antipsychotic medications. 8.Major Depressive Disorder. 9.Epilepsy 10.Pregnancy/ lactation/Menstrual Abnormalities 11.Patients who have undergone structured psychological therapy such as CBT, ERP, etc.
