Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with moderately severe and severe acute pancreatitis of 1.any etiology 2.within 7 days after the onset of pain, admitted in gastroenterology wards.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) Pregnant patients b) Patients with mild acute pancreatitis c) Patients with co-morbid diseases such as chronic liver disease, chronic renal failure, malignancy d) Patients who are already on enteral nutrition on admission e) Patients who refuse to participate in this study

MeasureTime frame
Home based blenderized formulations is not inferior to commercial formulas in reducing clinical symptoms like refeeding pain, length of hospital and ICU stay, morbidity, mortality, infectious complications and improves quality of life. â?? Timepoint: All biochemical markers, NUTRIC score and quality of life will be assessed at baseline, 7th day and 14 day of initiation of feed. Pain score, tolerability and infectious complications will be recorded daily. â??
