Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Pain abdomen â?? central, right lower quadrant, shifting of pain or generalized pain 2. Associated symptoms â?? nausea, vomiting, fever 3. Duration of symptoms less than or equal to 72 hours (from onset) 4. Written informed consent from parent or guardian

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Urinary tract infection 2. Pyelonephritis 3. Pneumonia 4. Treatment with immune modulating therapy 5. Prior abdominal surgery 6. Chronic illness (ex. Diabetes, chronic pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia)
