Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All infants with gestational age <=34 weeks admitted to neonatal intensive care unit(NICU)/intermediate care nursery(ICN)/post natal ward of Government Medical College and Hospital,Chandigarh needing blood transfusion for the first time
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Evidence of active bleeding 24 hour post surgical intervention ABO/Rh incompatibility haemolysis Disseminated intravascular coagulopathy Intra ventricular hemorrhage(IVH) grade 3 or more Congestive cardiac faliure
