Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pakshaghata patients- 1. Presenting with classical signs and symptoms of pakshaghata will be selected. 2. Clinical diagnosis of ischemic stroke, confirmation by CT. 3. Aged between 30 and 80 years. 4. Patients presenting in akeshapaka avastha only will be considered.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Hemorrhagic hemiplegia. 2.Severe co-existing, terminal diseases which may interfere with the conduct of the study. 3. Any form of encephalitis /tuberculosis/abscess. 4. Chronicity of more than 1 month. 5. Trauma 6. Pakshagata secondary to other causes like neoplasms. 7. Patients who have received therapy of recombinanat tissue plasminogen reactivator (rtPA).
