Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 Patients Aged between 18-65 years of either sex 2 American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Grade I and II for elective surgeries under spinal anaesthesia 3 Surgeries lasting less than 60 minutes
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients who refuse to give consent to spinal anaesthesia 2 Patients who have absolute or relative contraindications to spinal anaesthesia 3 Pregnant patients 4 Allergy to test drugs

| To assess the time to onset, duration of anaesthesia, two segment regression, complete regression of spinal anaesthesia and time for first post operative analgesic requirement in 2-chloroprocaine and 2-chloroprocaine with buprenorphine groups. Timepoint: An independent blinded assessor will evaluate the sensory and motor blocks every three minutes for 15 min, then every 15 min until the complete regression of motor block. | — |
