Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Gestational age of 30-32 weeks,no current use of ATD and anticonvulsants,Hb >7gm/DL,BP 145cm,prepregnancy wt >47kg,residing within 10 kms of GTBH Infants: Term,AGA,APGAR >7 at 1 min,no apparent major congenital and chromosomal anomalies

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Mother: Signs & symptoms of amnionitis Infants: Non vigorous infants with MSAF,LBW,Neonates having seizures,infants requiring blood transfusion

Primary outcome: proportion of infants having vitamin D3 levels 11ng/ml at 6 months of age in both the groups.Timepoint: 6 months of age of infants
