Intervention1: Shalaparni (Desmodium gangeticum): aqueous extract of Shalaparni (Desmodium gangeticum) Capsule500 mg BD for 1 month.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: i. Patients willing to sign the consent form for the clinical trials. ii. Patients belonging to either sex between the age group 30 years to 60years. iii. Patients who are already diagnosed as Essential hypertension (EHT) will be selected. iv. Patients having systolic blood pressure (SBP) up to 160 and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) up to 100 will be selected for the study and in any type of emergency condition patient will be treated in emergency.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: i. Patient below the age of 30 years and above 60 years. ii. Patient having systemic / serious complication of Cardiovascular / Cerebrovascular / Renal system. iii. Hypertensive retinopathy iv. Malignancy v. History of liver diseases in the recent past (If the duration of the diseases is more than 5 years.) vi. Pregnancy induced hypertension.
