Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Permanent mandibular molar teeth 2. Negative response to pulp sensibility test (cold and electric pulp test) 3. Radiographic evidence of periapical radiolucency on intraoral periapical radiograph (PAI Score>=3) 4. Teeth exhibiting either healthy periodontium, mild, moderate, severe chronic periodontitis (generalised)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with systemic diseases which could impairing the healing 2. Patients with habit of smoking, bruxism 3. Presence of crack/ subgingival caries/ radiographic evidence of apical root resorption and non-restorable teeth 4. Teeth with Combined endo-perio lesion with communication ( 5. History of recent periodontal therapy (within previous 6 months) 6. A positive history of antibiotic use within the past month 7. Teeth with Grade III mobility
