Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Subjects aged 18-30 years 2 Subjects with no systemic disorders like diabetes and hematological disorders 3 Subjects with at least 20 natural teeth 4 Patients with gingivitis (moderate and severe) 5 No history of periodontal therapy • No history of use of antibiotics within preceding 6 months of start of study • Subjects who give a voluntary informed consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Known allergy to constituents of the formulation of toothpaste 2 Patients undergoing orthodontic treatment 3 Advanced periodontal disease (purulent exudate, tooth mobility, and/or extensive loss of periodontal attachment or alveolar bone) 4 Pregnant women or women who are breast-feeding • Those who received a dental prophylaxis in the past two weeks prior to baseline examinations. • Smokers • Patients with severe crowding of teeth hampering mechanical plaque control • Patients with mucogingival problems
