Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Patients aged between 18-60 years of age of either gender with epilepsy who are on stable dose of single antiepileptic drug for at least 6 months 2 Patients willing to give written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients on combination therapy with antiepileptic drugs 2 Patients who are noncompliant to the drug 3 Patients with history of progressive or psychiatric neurological disorder 4 Patients with refractory seizures 5 Patients who are on anti thyroid drugs or on thyroid hormone replacement therapy 6 Patients with other co morbid conditions like ischemic heart disease, stroke, chronic kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension and other metabolic diseases 7 Patients who had received the drugs, which could affect the level of thyroid hormones, in the past 6 months 8 pregnant and lactating mothers
